Blog Content is About You!

To make your blog worth reading and revisiting you need to think about the type of content that is suitable for your blog in order to make it readable and, possibly, profitable. First off, I want you to understand that many blogs have no fixed scope, which means many bloggers write about whatever they are interested in. Other bloggers will target specific topics and stick to those. In a minute you will see why topics may be the reason a visitor first comes to your blog but it is not the main reason they will come back, again and again.

The difference between a blog worth revisiting and one that is forgotten about is the way the blog is written. Just imagine, would you prefer to read your university professor’s lecture notes or the latest novel by your favorite author?

I will say you prefer to read the novel because it appeals more to your interest and because it is not as mind-numbing as the lecture notes by your professor. The most important point to remember is people like to read “light” stuff most of the time. You see, when people log on to your blog, they are not only looking for information – they are also looking for information they can obtain easily. They want it in a relaxed manner and entertaining if possible.

You might be thinking – “I can’t write that way. Never could get the hang of it”. I assure you, you can write that way.

Here are some key points that will transform your writing style.

Before you write one word of your post, write a compelling headline to grab their attention. For example, the title of the article you are reading right now – “Blog Content Is About You!”. This title must have attracted you to my blog. Why? Because it is about “You”! I also posted it in Article Directories which will attract even more readers, like you. The article in the Article Directories has my blog link in the Author Box which drives traffic to my blogs.

To attract more visitors as well as to keep your current visitors coming back for more, it is very important to add a human touch to your blog posts. This can be done by simply imagining you’re talking about a certain topic with your personal friend. An extra bonus for your readers would be a great sense of humor, so try to add funny comments in your articles where they are suitable. Do avoid using vulgar language unless you don’t care about turning off a major audience of blog readers who will be offended. There are many blogs I will never visit again just for this reason.

Another important key point is to avoid addressing your reader as a plural unit, that is, as – “we”, “us”, etc. Sometimes this is appropriate but most times it is to be avoided. You should not write as if you’re preparing a lecture. Instead, you should write as if you are having a conversation with one person because this will make your visitor think of you more as a personal friend rather than a professional writer or professor. I used this one-to-one technique as a Radio and Television News broadcaster. I imagined I was giving the news to just one friendly person who was interested in what I had to say and who trusted me. I wrote it and voiced it as if I were telling the stories only to them. In other words, I write like I talk.

The most important change in your writing style is to establish your own personality through your words. Because you are reading this article I assume you are a very curious person, just like I am. Based on the headline, you wanted to know what this article was all about. As you read, you likely are thinking – “Who is this writer?”. It follows that your visitors come to your blog to find out as much about you as the information you’re offering them. I hope I am giving you some insight into who I am as a person and how I think because, in reality, I am using all the pointers in this article to demonstrate that they work.

You make your blog distinctive – not the subject of your blog! Having your distinctive personality show through in your blog will make all the difference between your blog about gadgets and all the other blogs about gadgets out there. Get the idea? Let me repeat for emphasis: You make your blog distinctive – not the subject of your blog! This is a lot like creating your own brand name, where people immediately remember your blog’s name when they need to find out information about gadgets, or whatever you regularly write about, in the same way people immediately think of McDonald’s for burgers or Nike for sportswear.

Still think you can’t do it? I challenge you to write just one blog post using the pointers I have given you and see what happens. Call it – “My Personal Opinion about (whatever)!”. And, let your personality out of prison, just once!

Yours for success!

Ebay Ebook Success: 7 Sources of Blog Content

In my previous articles I discussed things you need to consider before you begin blogging. Once you have considered these factors you should be ready to start your blog. However, there is one more critical factor – content. Where are you going to get your blog content from? What type of content are you going to provide? In this article I try to answer these questions by discussing seven sources of content for your blog.

1) SELF WRITTEN CONTENT:- When starting your blog you should definitely be consider writing your own content. Why? Because it is free and it also provides your blog with a dose of your own personality. You do not have to write every single post yourself because this can take a lot of time. However, there is no reason you cannot write an occasional article or product review for your blog.

2) EBAY LISTINGS:- Since your blog is a supplement for your eBay business it makes sense to highlight eBay listings on your blog. Do not fill it with all your eBay listings or your readers will quickly start to see your blog as one big advert. However, the occasional post about one of your eBay listings that you feel requires additional attention is fine. For example, maybe you have a new ebook out? Perhaps you have just listed an ebook in your eBay store which contains some really insightful information? Your readers are interested in ebooks too (that is why they are reading an eBay ebook blog), so they will want to read about some of your eBay ebooks. If done correctly, blogging about your eBay listings can improve the appearance of your blog and generate interest from your readers. Just make sure you do not overdo it.

3) ARTICLES FROM THE DIRECTORIES:- I have discussed in my previous articles how article directories can be a great sources of traffic. Well they can be a great source of free content too. Have a search through the article directories for articles on the topics you are looking to publish and then republish them. The only thing you have to make sure of is that you include the author’s resource box so that they receive the credit for writing the article.

4) PRIVATE LABEL RIGHTS (PLR) ARTICLES:- PLR articles are sold to a limited group of customers (let’s say 50). These 50 customers then have exclusive rights to use these articles for web content, email content, part of an ebook or whatever else they wish. PLR articles can be a great way to get content for your blog quickly. Although they usually cost a little money, they have an advantage over articles from the directories because of their limited distribution. Instead of publishing a directory article that has potentially been used by thousands of people, you can publish a relatively unique PLR article. Plus, you can make changes to the PLR article, giving it a unique spin for your blog.

5) OUTSOURCED ARTICLES:- If you are not happy with other people having the same PLR articles as you and you do not have the time to write your own unique articles, outsourced articles are an option. Simply, find a good writer (ask for a sample of their work before agreeing to purchase any articles) and then agree a fee per article. They will then write unique, relevant articles which you can post on your blog. The disadvantage with outsourced articles is that they will cost more than PLR articles.

6) EBOOKS:- As an eBay ebook seller you should have plenty of ebooks with resell rights and giveaway rights stashed away on your computer. Why not give some away on your blog? Your readers will really appreciate getting free ebooks that they can then go on to resell in their eBay stores.

7) YOUTUBE VIDEOS:- Interactive websites are becoming increasingly popular and YouTube is no exception. On YouTube you can find videos on almost every topic including selling ebooks on eBay. All the videos on YouTube contain code to embed the video, so all you have to do is copy and paste this code into a blog post and voila – you have video on your blog.

I hope these seven content sources are beneficial to you and your blog. Even if your blog is not related to eBay and ebooks, you can use many of the sources quoted above. Now that you have the sources you just need to take action. Start posting today and watch your blog grow.

What must you consider when making a choice in respect of rose tattoo designs?

INTRODUCTION

At its essence, the rose is a spectacular flower; it’s straightforward to see the reasons folks want rose tattoo designs tattooed onto their lower back. The curved essence of the blossom is perfect for the curved area of that part of the body, and lends femininity and beauty.

Loads of women are attracted to the rose due to its many meanings. Needless to say a red version means love and passion; a red rose with no thorns implies immediate love. The round head of the rose stands for fertility. All through the years, roses have been cultivated to give components used in a variety of lotions, potions and medicines. In addition, the rose has divine meaning, as many associate its splendour to religious leaders.

SYMBOLIC SYMBOL

For lots of people, the rose is a symbol of peace. Each and every person can recognize the value of the splendour and perfume of the flower.

A rose is a magnificent thing. It is highly perfumed with magnificent petals. Understandably, it does not have to stay in the ground. For many years, many people have acknowledged the exquisite physical attributes of the rose and have tattooed their skin with their personal interpretations of its beauty.

INCREASING POPULARITY

The rose is one of a number of traditional tattoos that is currently experiencing an increase in regard. In addition, there’s also a growing amount of women who are having designs which include roses inked on their lower back. They are taking the traditional symbol of the rose and merging it with modern concepts.

When reviewing your decisions of which designs you want to go for, you will need to think of three points.

ROSEBUD OR ROSE?

First up, which part of the rose do you want to include. Not all rose tattoo designs need the rose to be included; a straightforward bud could be. This bud symbolizes development, as well as innocence. Consider what you desire your tattoo to have and amend your design to match it.

SOLO ROSE OR BOUQUET?

The second thing is whether you want the rose to be alone or supplemented by other designs. Examples could be the stalk (which would provide any mirror-imaging you may need for the tattoo’s placing on your lower back), people’s messages (maybe of your children or other relatives), fairies (which can show a hopeful approach to life, cheer, cheekiness, depending on the type of fairy chosen), butterflies (which emphasize gorgeousness, poise and the delicacy of human life), bees (which mean busyness, sweetness and selfless sacrifice) or hummingbirds (elegant birds). There’s heaps of elements you might want to think about including, but try to make sure that they mean something special to you, other than just looking awesome!

COLORS

Finally, you may want to consider is what colors to use. Typically, roses are red, however this need not be the case with your tattoo design. You are free to choose any color your imagination can invent, but try to make sure that you appreciate the implication of different colors. These vary from person to person, but a few illustrations could include black (which normally symbolizes death, but which could easily be used as a mark of respect to a relative who has recently passed away), blue (which usually suggests tests await the wearer and you will work to succeed at them), golden (which traditionally suggests achieving success and fortune), yellow (which traditionally stands for birth and contentment) and white (which nearly always signifies purity). Choose your chosen colors carefully; there is no reason why you need only have one color.

YOUR TATTOO; YOUR CHOICE

Make sure that you are 100% content with the design for your tattoo. Take as much time as you can to decide what elements you want to use, and have a great time doing it!

I’m passionate about tattoos and have just started sharing my ideas on my new Lower Back Tattoo Designs blog.
